Sailor Moon Art by Ann Marcellino

I recently came across Ann Marcellino’s fantastic Sailor Moon art via an article spotlighting her work titled If Sailor Moon Had Been A Western Cartoon on kotaku.com.

Her style is lovely and enchanting with a whimsical, innocent, and emotive quality I find endearing. This piece featuring Queen Beryl was the first that really caught by eye, followed by Moonlight Romance. I’ve found my fondness for Queen Beryl has greatly increased over the years. Her jealousy of Serenity and desire to be with Endymion added depth to her character, which was lacking in the anime, and this first piece captures her feelings so well.

You can check out more of Ann Marcellino’s awesome work on deviantart and find her elsewhere on the web at: tumblr | society6 | twitter | facebook | blogspot
