Sailor Moon Crystal is finally here!

Yes, it’s finally happening! The day we’ve all been waiting for — Sailor Moon is back!

I was a little skeptical of the new animation style, but this is just lovely. I’m still not a fan of the cgi bits and Sailor Moon’s transformation seems a bit drawn out though I believe it’s the same length as the original anime transformation. Everything else is lovely. This follows the manga almost scene for scene. Usagi seems much more mature than in the original slapstick version. Mamoru also seems more mature — calm and kind, which makes more sense. I can’t wait to see more and to hear everyone’s thoughts on the new show. Enjoy!
